Important announcement regarding our Swindon datechameleon

04/01/12

Due to various factors we have moved the date and location of our Swindon gig for 2012. We were originally booked to play the 12 Bar on the 03/03/12 but have now moved this to The Vic on the 24/11/12.

We've always had fantastic nights when we've played the 12 Bar in the past and we're looking forward to a great night at The Vic. We apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused and hope to see some of you at The Vic for this new date.

One-off performance of Misplaced Childhood and Clutching at Straws at the Robin 2chameleon

28/09/11

StillMarillion are delighted to announce a special gig for 2012, at which we will be playing both 'Misplaced Childhood' and 'Clutching At Straws' in their entirety. 2012 marks the 25th anniversary of CAS and our aim is to play CAS in its entirety at a number of gigs around the UK in 2012 in recognition of this.

Misplaced Childhood and Clutching at Straws

However, a number of people have expressed to us their disappointment that they didn't get to see us do MC in its entirety in 2010, as we only performed it at a few select gigs.

So, for one night only, we are going to play both albums in one night and hope that as many people as possible will join us to celebrate these 2 classic Fish era albums in all their glory.

The venue for this gig will be The Robin in Bilston, near Wolverhampton. Having played the venue recently, we know the set-up is top notch and we can be sure of delivering a great audio/visual experience on the night. We're also keeping the ticket price as low as we can, to try and get as many people as possible to come along.

Date: Sunday 13 May 2012
Venue: Robin 2, Bilston
Tickets: £8.00 in advance, £10.00 on ththe door
Time: We will be on stage at 8.30 pm

Full details can be found on The Robin's website here: http://www.therobin.co.uk/

Announcing our new drummer!magpie

08/06/11

We are delighted to announce Kevin Woods as our new, full time drummer. Kevin is a massive Marillion fan and superb musician, who has slotted in to the band with ease.

Kevin

We're all very much looking forward to the upcoming gigs with Kevin onboard and hope you'll make him feel very welcome out there on the road. The prog is definitely strong with him!

Farewell to Andrewchameleon

06/06/11

It is with regret that we have to announce that, due to work commitments with his new job, our resident drummer Andrew has had to give up his position in StillMarillion. We wish Andrew all the best in his new job and for the future. However, as a wise man once said, the show must go on and we can assure you that all our currently booked gigs will be going ahead as planned. Prog on!

Welcome to our new website

01/04/11

Welcome to the new StillMarillion website. After spending far too much time in the world of Facebook we've decided that we need to get back to having a dedicated website for all things StillMarillion. We will use this in conjunction with our current Facebook and MySpace pages but you can be sure this will be the first place to find out what's happening with the band.

StillMarillion

The site will of course have updates on all upcoming gigs at the live page, details of where we've played, what we play and who we are for anyone interested!

All the latest band news can be found here on the home page and we plan to keep this up to date with new gigs and other band news - or why not join our mailing list by entering your email address in the box on the right and we'll make sure we keep you updated with our latest news.

Thanks!

StillMarillion

Please note! Gateshead date has been changed

To avoid clashing with Rush playing Newcastle and Roger Waters playing in Manchester we have moved the Gateshead gig at The Three Tuns to the 17th of June. We've had quite a few messages from people who would be unable to attend the original date and much as we'd like to think we could compete with Rush and Roger for their audiences ;) we've decided to move the date. Hope to see some of you at this new date.

This really is a great venue and we can promise a fantastic show of early Marillion material, great musicianship and showmanship and possibly the return of a certain mythical beast...
